We
are a fabless semi-conductor company developing
an SoC for 3G and 4G wireless handheld Personal
Communication Devices (PCDs). We are in the
process of transferring our research and development
work into commercial products. Some of our design
will be implemented in silicon; some of it will
be programmed into a DSP. We require a DSP algorithm
specialist to implement code in a DSP device.
The ideal candidate will have experience with
diverse DSP architectures, real time operating
systems, embedded micro controller devices,
and ASIC design and implementation. The successful
candidate will be a team player, capable of
working effectively across multiple functional
groups.
Responsibilities:
Designing and developing
algorithms for next generation wireless baseband
processing, considering target DSP architecture
in order to optimize performance
Simulating, analyzing and
optimizing the designs of wireless baseband processing
functions
Qualifications:
BSc/MSc or M Eng/Ph. D
in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years relevant
research/industry experience
Experience in DSP firmware
design, familiarity with DSP core architectures
and peripherals
Proven experience with
Mat lab and SPW tools
Familiarity with UMTS and
GSM wireless standards is a definite asset
