We require a Senior Application Engineer with
considerable experience working with wireless
network providers, wireless service providers
or wireless terminal providers. The successful
applicant will have a proven engineering background,
be capable of designing and delivering products,
and will be able to relate to customers, putting
them at ease, and translating their needs into
applications and functionality that SIGPRO can
deliver.
Responsibilities:
Developing and understanding
wireless customers' needs and their system hardware
and software requirements, in order to support
SIGPRO's product development
Interfacing with SIGPRO's
ASIC and software teams and external customers
to ensure the proper implementation and operation
of third party applications on SIGPRO's SoC
Developing sample applications
to demonstrate the capabilities and performance
of SIGPRO's Flexium™ SoC to external customers
during demonstrations
Developing product documentation and making presentations
for customer training and communication
Working with SIGPRO's marketing
and customer engineer teams to make continuous
improvements to the product
Identifying, documenting
and prioritizing new and current products' needs
and features
Identifying strategic partners
and securing their commitments to work with SIGPRO's
development teams to create new applications for
wireless end-user devices
Investigating system issues
and assisting in the definition of future products
and enhancements
Qualifications:
3+ years experience designing,
developing, selling or supporting wireless and/or
telecommunication applications
Experience in design and
specification at chip and/or board level
M.Sc./PhD in Computer Engineering,
Electrical Engineering or Systems Design Engineering
Strong knowledge of cellular
wireless communication systems, standards and
applications
In-depth understanding
of microprocessor based systems
Extensive FPGA, analog,
and mixed-signal technology knowledge with some
actual design experience is required
Knowledge of system software,
peripheral devices and I/O, and memory standards
is advantageous
Experience with the latest
ASIC and SOC development tools (Verilog, Synopsys,
Avanti, Hercules, DRC, LVS, etc.)
