Andrew Katz co-founded Skypoint Capital Corporation in 1998. Prior to co-founding Skypoint Mr. Katz worked as the chief operating officer of a public technology company, where he gained hands on experience in running a high-tech company. From 1989 until 1996 Mr. Katz was a partner in Deloitte & Touche where he worked exclusively with technology companies with a particular emphasis on emerging companies.

Mr. Katz was appointed as the National Partner responsible for his firm's high-tech practice and was a member of the US firm's advisory committee on high-tech. Mr. Katz was one of the first professionals in the Ottawa area to focus entirely on the technology sector as an area of practice and has an extensive contact base in the Ottawa area.

Mr. Katz is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University.
