Hans
Davidsson has more than 20 years
of leadership experience in the
telecommunications industry. As
a Managing Partner of ideaEDGE Ventures
in California Mr. Davidsson has
had the opportunity to both create,
fund and operationally manage several
start-up companies in the mobile
internet space.
Prior to joining ideaEDGE Ventures,
Mr. Davidsson was the Vice President
for Ericsson Internet Applications
and Solutions, a global organization
charged with the task of defining
and building new business in the
intersection of wireless and internet,
resulting in a new core business
of Ericsson.
Since 1995 Mr. Davidsson has been
an active leader contributing to
the fast paced expansion of the
consumer division of Ericsson. As
Vice President of Sales and Marketing,
he identified customers and built
distribution channels for products
new to the American market. Before
this, Mr. Davidsson was a global
director responsible for the development
of all Ericsson mobile phones and
terminals worldwide.
In 1992, Mr. Davidsson was appointed
General Manager of Ericsson, Access
Products, where he directed all
business, management and technical
functions of the organization, consolidating
a multi billion-dollar business.
Prior to that, he was the head of
Product Management and Marketing
Support for Ericsson's UK region.
From 1986 to 1990 Mr. Davidsson
resided in the UK where he led the
development project management office
responsible for the British Telecom
deployment of Ericsson's proprietary
switch architecture, AXE. This multi-year
project required the coordination
of a 1,000-person global team. In
addition, he managed Ericsson's
UK software division.
Before joining Ericsson in 1982,
Mr. Davidsson worked as an electrical
engineer at Siemens. Mr. Davidsson
serves on the boards of Aerial Broadband,
Inc., Satyam ideaEDGE Technologies
Ltd, AsiaCorp.Net Co., Ltd, M7 Networks
Inc, as well as Motion Venture LLC.
He is also an active board member
of the Swedish American Chamber
of Commerce in North Carolina.
In 1980, Mr. Davidsson received
a Master of Science degree in Industrial
Management and Engineering from
the University of Linkoping Institute
of Technology, Sweden.
